Nathan Grimes
Consultant Urologist
Mr Nathan Grimes is a Consultant Urologist providing comprehensive care across the full spectrum of general urology, with a particular subspecialty interest in kidney cancer.
He completed his medical degree at the University of Liverpool before beginning surgical training in Northern Ireland. His specialist urology training was undertaken in Scotland, after which he was appointed as a Consultant Urologist at Altnagelvin Hospital in 2021.
Mr Grimes’ clinical interests include the investigation and management of suspected urological cancers (kidney, bladder, prostate and testicular), lower urinary tract symptoms, urinary tract infections, foreskin and scrotal conditions, and kidney stones. He is committed to delivering clear, compassionate care that helps patients understand their condition and treatment options.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Medicine & Surgery (MBChB) – University of Liverpool Post Graduate Certificate (Medical Education) – Queen’s University Belfast Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (Urology) – Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh
