Meet Your Consultant
Mr Tim White is a Colorectal and General Surgeon within the Western Trust in Northern Ireland and serves as Clinical Lead for Emergency Surgery. He qualified from the University of Sheffield in 1997 and undertook surgical training across Hull, Nottingham, and Melbourne, Australia, gaining broad international experience.
He was appointed as a Consultant Surgeon in Chesterfield, Derbyshire in 2012, where he held key roles including Colorectal Management Lead and Emergency Surgery Lead. As Endoscopy Lead, he successfully steered the endoscopy unit to JAG accreditation, reflecting his commitment to clinical excellence and service quality.
Mr White returned to Northern Ireland in 2021 to continue his consultant practice. He is a member of the Court of Examiners at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and is one of only ten Independent Medical Examiners in Northern Ireland.
He performs both upper and lower endoscopy and is a recognised trainer in colonoscopy. His special interests include colorectal cancer and benign ano-rectal conditions, including the management of haemorrhoids.
