Why veins need proper assessment
Visible varicose veins, heaviness, aching, swelling, or skin changes can have different causes. A venous assessment helps clarify whether treatment, monitoring, or further investigation may be appropriate.
When ultrasound may be useful
Ultrasound-led assessment can show how veins are functioning beneath the surface. It may be useful when symptoms suggest deeper vein involvement or when treatment planning requires more detail.
Assessment is not the same as treatment
