Assessment and Doppler scan
Mr Mzimba examines your legs and, where appropriate, scans the veins to see how they are functioning beneath the surface.

Your treatment plan and price
You are told exactly which treatment is recommended and what it costs before deciding.

Walk-in, walk-out treatment
Thermal ablation, foam sclerotherapy and microsclerotherapy are performed under local anaesthetic. You go home the same day.

Follow-up review
A review checks your recovery and whether any remaining veins need a small further treatment.
Recovery
Aftercare and going home
Most vein treatments at JACE are minimally invasive and performed under local anaesthetic, so there is no overnight stay.
You are usually encouraged to walk soon after treatment.
Your consultant explains compression, activity and follow-up specific to your treatment before you go ahead.

Self-funded, insured or cross-border
Most patients on this pathway pay for themselves, but you can also use private health insurance, and patients from the Republic of Ireland may be able to claim reimbursement.
